Jukely was originally just a concert recommendation app, then they added Jukely Unlimited. With Unlimited, users can see an unlimited number of concerts in select cities for a monthly fee. The fee is $25 per month for one ticket at a time, and $45 a month for an extra ticket for friends.

Jukely raised $2.4 million at the end of 2014, the same time that the Unlimited program launched.<!–/*

Jukely has raised an additional $8 million in a “seed extension round”. The round was led by Northzone and 14W. Larry Marcus, Hany Nada, Lyor Cohen, Maiden Lane, and GroupMe founders Steve Martocci and Jared Hecht also participated in the round. This puts the company’s total funding at $11.3 million.

The company will use the money to hire more people and expand to more cities. The service is currently available in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin, Chicago, Miami, Toronto, Seattle, Philadelphia, and Denver.

Patreon And Ari’s Take Music / Tech Meetup This Saturday In Hollywood

patreon-meetup

Most of you know by now that I’m a musician. This Saturday I’ll be performing at the Hotel Cafe in Hollywood with my full band. One of my new favorite artists, Jourdan Myers from Minneapolis, is making her debut LA appearance opening the show at 7:00 sharp.

Patreon will be in town to be apart of the ASCAP Expo happening this week and will be at my show to chat with musicians, creators, techies, startups and anyone else curious about the Patreon model and how it can work for them – after my set of course! They have offered to buy the first two drinks at the Hotel Cafe for all meetup attendees. To get your drinks you must RSVP to: meetup@aristake.com

+Why The Patreon Acquisition of Subbable Is Important

Doors open at 6:30
Show starts at 7:00

We will all be hanging in the front bar of the Hotel Cafe after my set for the meetup. The Hotel Cafe is separated into two rooms, the front bar (for chatting, hanging, drinking and high fiving) and the music hall where people go to enjoy the music (and not talk). It’s one of my favorite music venues in the country and it’s a spot where any night of the week John Mayer, The Roots, Queen Latifah, Nick Jonas, Ed Sheeran, Chris Martin, Sara Bareilles or Colbie Caillat will get up and sing a few songs – or play a full set. It’s an intimate, 165 cap venue. And the sound is always top notch.

There is a limit on the number of drinks Patreon is buying, so make sure to RSVP and get there early enough to claim your drink tickets.

Get tickets to the show here.
