iTunes Is Adding Editorial Content…

iTunes is moving into music journalism. Music Ally found an Apple job ad for an editorial producer.

The ad says that iTunes is looking to hire someone with an expertise in music journalism to handle editorial and production. Job duties include “writing, editing, managing a sea of freelancers, and working collaboratively with business and content heads to shape and define editorially driven merchandising promotions.“<!–/*

Apple is currently working on a new iteration of Beats Music that will be closely aligned with iTunes. They’ve already poached Zane Lowe from the BBC. It looks like they’re going straight into music programming, something generally lacking in internet radio — although Beats Music was one of the first to try and bring a human touch to streaming services.
