#DIYmusician: CD Baby’s 1st Twitter Chat on March 25th
On Wednesday March 25th, join CD Baby (@cdbaby) along with VP of Marketing Kevin Breuner (@kbreuner) and blog editor Chris Robley (@chrisrobley) from 11am-12pm PT (2-3pm EST) to discuss DIY music promotion methods.
Talk with us about your strategies, successes, failures, and surprises when it comes to promoting yourself as a DIY musician.
Is Facebook your friend or foe? When is the right time to start the promotion of a new album? What tools have helped you connect better with your fans?
We’ll be hosting a discussion on these topics and more next Wednesday, March 25th, and we hope you pop by to say hello!
Use the #DIYmusician hashtag to participate!
To chime in and chat with us, all you need to do is tweet during the scheduled time while using our chat hashtag: #DIYmusician.
Here are a few #DIYmusician chat suggestions:
1) Prior to the chat, select a method for following along with the conversation. The most straightforward way to do this is to enter #DIYmusician in the Twitter search box. You’ll need to refresh the page to keep up with the tweets. You can also use Tweetdeck, Tweetchat, or Twubs.
2) Make sure you’re following @cdbaby!
3) At the beginning of the chat, give a little introduction to let everybody know you’re there, and then participate! Don’t forget to use the hashtag #DIYmusician for each of your comments — otherwise everybody participating won’t be able to see them!
4) Make friends with fellow participants. Follow each other. The DIY musician community is strongest when we support each other and share our experiences.
We hope you’ll be there March 25th at 11am PT (2pm EST) to participate!
