Breaking: Apple Poaches Zane Lowe from BBC Radio 1

Apple has poached BBC Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe. His last show will air on March 5th. Lowe will then be moving to the U.S. to join Apple. He has been with the BBC since 2003.<!–/*

He joins Apple at an opportune moment: the company is now tooling its new Beats Music/iTunes streaming service, and desperately trying to catch up with streaming giants like Spotify, YouTube, and Pandora.  It seems likely that Lowe will handle curation for Apple.
